Welcome to Bid9ja Auctions (“Bid9ja”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.bid9ja.com, including all auctions, services, features, and content (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using Bid9ja, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About Bid9ja

Bid9ja is an online auction platform that enables registered users (“Bidders”) to bid on and purchase items including but not limited to electronics, vehicles, luxury goods, collectibles, event tickets, and promotional items.

Bid9ja acts as a facilitator of auctions, not the owner of auctioned items unless explicitly stated.

2. Eligibility to Use the Platform

To use Bid9ja, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information

  • Have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Bid9ja reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Account Registration & Security

  • You must create an account to bid.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • All activities carried out under your account are your responsibility.

  • Notify Bid9ja immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Auction Rules & Bidding Process

a. Bidding

  • All bids placed are legally binding.

  • Bids cannot be withdrawn once submitted.

  • Placing a bid means you agree to pay the final winning price if you win.

b. Winning an Auction

  • The highest bidder at auction close is the winning bidder.

  • Winners will receive a confirmation notification via email, SMS, or platform notification.

  • Failure to complete payment may result in:

    • Account suspension

    • Loss of bidding privileges

    • Possible forfeiture of deposits (if applicable)

c. Reserve Prices

Some auctions may include a reserve price. If the reserve is not met, the item may not be sold.

5. Payments & Fees

  • All payments must be completed using approved payment methods on the Platform.

  • Payment deadlines are strictly enforced.

  • Bid9ja may charge:

    • Buyer’s premiums

    • Service fees

    • Processing fees (where applicable)

All fees will be clearly displayed before final confirmation.

6. Item Descriptions & Condition

  • Items are listed with descriptions provided by sellers or Bid9ja.

  • All items are sold “as-is” and “where-is”, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

  • Bid9ja does not guarantee the condition, performance, or fitness of any item.

Bidders are encouraged to review all details carefully before bidding.

7. Delivery, Collection & Ownership

  • Delivery or pickup details will be communicated after payment.

  • Ownership transfers to the buyer only after full payment is confirmed.

  • Bid9ja is not responsible for delays caused by logistics partners or force majeure events.

8. Cancellations, Refunds & Disputes

  • No refunds after successful auction wins unless required by law or explicitly stated.

  • Bid9ja may cancel auctions due to:

    • Technical errors

    • Fraudulent activity

    • Seller issues

    • Force majeure

  • Any disputes must be reported within a reasonable timeframe.

Bid9ja’s decision on disputes is final, subject to applicable laws.

9. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Manipulate bids or engage in shill bidding

  • Use bots, scripts, or automated bidding tools

  • Provide false or misleading information

  • Harass other users

  • Attempt to bypass security systems

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent ban.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on Bid9ja—including logos, designs, text, images, and software—is the property of Bid9ja or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content without written permission.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

By using Bid9ja, you consent to data processing as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Bid9ja shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.

  • Bid9ja is not liable for losses arising from user misconduct or third-party services.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Bid9ja harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Platform

  • Breach of these Terms

  • Violation of applicable laws

14. Termination

Bid9ja may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.

Termination does not affect completed transactions or outstanding obligations.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in Nigerian courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

Bid9ja may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
